Miami Newborn Session at Home

Meet little Olivia, I photographed her at her home on a very rainy day. You wouldn’t be able to tell just how dark it was by the way I edited the pictures but it was really dark, thank goodness for raw files. As a photographer I prefer to work with natural light, but I also know my way with off-camera flash, and I do have a light that I always carry with me in case I need it. However, on this particular day I din’t get the light out of the car because I could tell that it was about to start pouring.

I was a little bit overwhelmed because I had driven all the way from Homestead to Pembroke Pines, and just as I got off the turnpike, I got a flat tire less than 10 minutes away from my client’s home. By the time I was done dealing with roadside assistance, I was already more than 1 hour late and I felt bad for making my clients wait. In the end they were very understanding, I finally go to their home, quickly unloaded my car and got setup. We did some family shots and then it was all about the newborn princess, she totally rocked her newborn photography session. Mom was relieved that the pictures turned out like she wanted.

If you’re expecting soon and would like to take the stress out of your newborn session, I can help make it a stress free experience. As an in-home newborn photographer, I cover all of South Florida, from Miami to Pembroke Pines, and everywhere in between and sometimes beyond, like Key Largo and Islamorada. I come to you with everything needed for beautiful pictures that you’ll treasure for a lifetime.

Here are some of my favorites from this newborn photo session, as well as a little behind the scenes video taken by Olivia’s mom.
